About Mark

Mark grew up in Central Mississippi where he graduated from Mississippi State University. He received a Master's degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, followed by a Ph.D. in Old Testament from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky. Dr. Gregory has served in pastorates in Missouri, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Tennessee.  


From 2019 to 2022 he served as Professor of Old Testament at the Piedmont Divinity School of Carolina University where he also provided leadership as the Interim Director of the Divinity school from 2020 to 2022.


Currently, Mark is the Dean of the new Seminary at Brewton-Parker College - Temple Baptist Theological Seminary, as well as the Professor of Old Testament.  He also supports the seminary and college by leading Church-Minister Relations. Brewton-Parker College is a four-year college of the Georgia Baptist Mission Board and is located in Mt. Vernon, Georgia.

Temple Baptist Theological Seminary, as the college's new seminary, is the first entry into graduate level work at Brewton-Parker.  The college is accredited by SACSCOC and just received approval for Tier III programs (December 2022), the first of which are the MAM and the MABTS of the seminary.  Classes are expected to begin in March of 2023.
